Stepping into Casa del Balam Merida felt like entering a serene oasis in the heart of historic Merida. the colonial-style architecture, surrounded by lush gardens, provided a tranquil setting for a relaxing vacation. the charming Bistrola 57 restaurant offered a delightful culinary experience, blending Italian, French, and Mexican cuisine in a picturesque garden courtyard. Our spacious room, complete with a private terrace boasting views of the University building and the city center, provided a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. the attention to detail in the room decor, featuring colonial antiques and wrought iron accessories, added a touch of elegance to our colonial-style accommodation. We enjoyed the convenience of room service, as well as the variety of facilities offered, including the outdoor pool and complimentary toiletries in the well-appointed bathroom. The hotel's prime location, just two blocks from the main square Plaza Grande, made it easy for us to explore the nearby museums, markets, and art galleries on foot. Whether traveling with friends, family, or solo, this unique gem offers a perfect blend of comfort, culture.
